I always forget to drink throughout the day and that, I know, is not good and I have to find some tricks to force myself a bit and think about hydrating me. Especially in summer! So, I prepare every morning a large pitcher of flavored water: either just with lemon and mint leaves, or iced tea, etc. It’s more tempting during the day a simple glass of water and I force myself to finish my pitcher of 1.5 L ^^
One of my last recipe is a strawberry lemonade that I liked very much! I had strawberries that started to rip a little too much, so they finished mixed with lemon juice and sparkling water, a delight!
If your strawberries are not very sweet or if you like sugary drinks, do not hesitate to increase the dose of sugar (up to 200 g but not more, otherwise it would be too much). Personally I prefer when it is not too sweet so I reduced ;)
- 100 g granulated sugar
- 20 cl water
- 350 g strawberries
- 35 cl lemon juice
- 1.5 L sparkling water
- fresh mint
- ice cubes
- Put the sugar and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil to dissolve the sugar. Let cool.
- Strain the strawberries and mix them (reserve a few for servings). Add syrup and lemon juice and mix well.
- Pour into a pitcher and add 1.5 liters of sparkling water and ice cubes. Decorate with mint leaves, fresh strawberries and lemon wedges.
